What a Curaçao licence shows, casino by casino, on the certificate portal

Most casinos in the ranking point to Curaçao. The certificate portal of the Curaçao Gaming Authority shows who holds each number, since when, with what status and for which domains, and those lines do not always match the terms.

A Curaçao licence is the most common licence line in the terms of crypto casinos, and it is also one of the easiest to look up. The Curaçao Gaming Authority keeps a certificate portal at cert.cga.cw, where each certificate carries a holder, a number, an issue date, a status and the domains it covers. Comparing those five fields with what a casino prints about itself takes a few minutes.

That comparison is the fifth of the five checks behind the ranking: does the issuer's register list the licence for the casino's own domain? The lookups on this page were made between 8 and 13 September 2026.

What an OGL number is

Certificates issued under the current Curaçao system use numbers in the format OGL/year/sequence/sequence, for example OGL/2023/111/0069. The year inside the number is not the date of issue; that date stands in its own field on the certificate, and the two need not fall in the same year, as the Jack.com entry shows. A number in an older format, without the OGL prefix, is worth a second look on the portal, because the terms may have kept a reference that the portal no longer shows as valid.

A casino usually prints the number in two places: the first clauses of its terms and the seal in the footer. Clicking a seal is a start, but the check that counts is your own search on cert.cga.cw, by number or by domain.

What the certificate portal shows

A certificate page on cert.cga.cw lists:

Holder: the company behind the certificate, often a Dutch-style B.V. or N.V. registered on the island.
Number: the OGL reference.
Issued: the date the certificate started.
Status: for example «Active».
Domains: the web addresses covered by this certificate.

The last field is the one that is most often skipped. A certificate can be active and still not name the address you are looking at. The step-by-step guide to the register shows how to search and record what you see.

Curaçao licence lines of the ranked casinos

Five casinos showed a clean match between terms and register during the lookups.

Bitcasino.io: Moon Technologies B.V., OGL/2023/111/0069, issued 1 July 2024. On 12 September 2026 bitcasino.io stood on the certificate. The screenshot below, taken on 31 August 2026, shows the status «Active».
Shuffle.com: Natural Nine B.V., OGL/2024/1337/0628, issued 16 October 2024, found in the register on 8 September 2026.
Bitsler: holder Oyine N.V., certificate OGL/2024/930/0387 dated 22 July 2024; the lookup of 12 September 2026 found bitsler.com in its domain field. Oddly, Bitsler's own terms keep calling that number an application, although the portal lists it in force.
Thunderpick: on the portal, OGL/2024/677/0722 carries an active status. Its terms, by contrast, stay silent on both the issuing authority and any reference. The page on terms without a number looks at that gap.
Jack.com: the brand renamed from Jackbit on 29 May 2026 sits under OGL/2024/1562/1139; the holder since 23 July 2025 is Data Link Digital B.V., and the domain field reads jack.com. Its older address, jackbit.com, is covered by a separate certificate.

Where terms and register part ways

Four other Curaçao entries tell a less tidy story, and each one shows a different kind of mismatch.

Rocketpot prints 1668/JAZ in cl. 1.2 of its terms. On two separate lookups, 12 and 13 September 2026, the portal showed that certificate as not valid. A number that appears in the terms is therefore no proof that it still holds.

Wild.io carries two company names. On the portal it is Nonce Gaming B.V.; in the player terms it is Stack Gaming Ltd. The ranking shows both as found and does not choose between them. In practice, the name on your side of the agreement differs from the name printed on the certificate.

Metaspins points to two authorities at once. Clause 1.1 of its terms gives an Anjouan reference, ALSI-202606048-FI2. Yet the Curaçao portal, searched on 12 September 2026, returned Metaspins N.V. as holder of OGL/2024/1063/0437, marked active and tied to metaspins.com. The Anjouan guide covers the other half of that record.

Vave, shown on this site as an advertisement, belongs to Latcas B.V. with OGL/2024/1676/0905, active since 19 May 2025. Its certificate, as the portal displayed it on 12 September 2026, named one address only, vavegame.com; the shorter vave.com did not appear there.

How to use a Curaçao licence check yourself

A lookup is only useful if you compare the right things. Keep this order:

Copy the number from the terms, not from a banner or a review.
Search it on cert.cga.cw and open the certificate.
Put the holder next to whichever company the terms name as operator.
Read the status word exactly as shown.
Check that the domain in your browser bar is listed.
Save a screenshot with the date in the file name.

If any of these steps gives a different answer from the terms, write it down. It does not tell you what will happen to a withdrawal, but it tells you which company and which authority a complaint to the casino would eventually have to name. Frequently asked questions about crypto casinos

Does an active Curaçao certificate cover every domain a casino uses?

No. Each certificate lists its own domains, and an address that is missing from that list is not covered by that certificate. Vave's number was active on 12 September 2026, yet only vavegame.com stood under it. Jack.com and its former address jackbit.com each have a certificate of their own. Before you rely on a seal, look at the address bar and then at that domain field.

What does it mean when the portal shows a certificate as not valid?

It means that on the day of your search, the portal did not show that certificate as a valid one. Rocketpot's number from cl. 1.2 showed that result on 12 and 13 September 2026. The reason is not given on the portal, so note the date, keep the screenshot and read the casino's terms again for any newer licence line.

Why do the holder names on the certificate and in the terms differ?

Group structures often use several companies: one holds the certificate, another runs the website or signs the player contract. The portal does not explain the relationship. Wild.io is the example in the ranking, with one name on the portal and another in its terms. Record both names, because a complaint may need the one in the terms as well as the one on the certificate.
