Searching and recording an entry
Using a licence register yourself: number, domain, holder and status
A casino's licence line becomes useful once you have seen the matching entry with your own eyes. This walk-through covers the Curaçao certificate portal and the Anjouan register, and how to keep proof of what each showed.
A licence register is the list an issuing authority keeps of the licences it has granted. For the crypto casinos in this ranking, two of them do almost all the work: the certificate portal of the Curaçao Gaming Authority at cert.cga.cw, and the register kept by Anjouan. Both show enough to compare with what a casino writes about itself.
Every licence cell in the ranking was built this way, with lookups between 8 and 13 September 2026. The method below is the same one, written so that you can repeat it for any casino and on any day.
Before you open a licence register
Collect three things from the casino's own pages first, so the search has something to be compared with:
- The reference, copied character by character from the terms, plus the clause it stands in. OGL references point to Curaçao, ALSI references to Anjouan.
- The company name the terms give as the operator.
- The domain in your browser bar, written out in full.
Also note the date or version line of the terms. The guide to reading casino terms explains where that line usually sits.
Holder on the certificate: Oyine N.V. Licence OGL/2024/930/0387 dates from 22-07-2024 and reads “Active”, with bitsler.com as its domain, although Bitsler’s own terms still describe the number as an application.
Step by step through a search
- Open the issuer's register directly, by typing the address yourself: cert.cga.cw for Curaçao. Do not follow the seal in the footer for this step.
- Search by reference. Paste the OGL or ALSI string. If nothing comes up, check for a typing error, then continue with step 3 anyway.
- Search by domain. Type the web address without www. A domain search sometimes finds an entry the terms never mention, which is how a casino with a silent licence clause can still have a certificate.
- Open the entry and read every field, not only the status.
- Compare field by field with the three things you collected, using the checks in the next section.
- Save the result with the date, as described further down.
Number or domain: which to trust
A reference and a domain answer different questions. The reference tells you that a licence exists; the domain field tells you which websites it covers. Only the second connects the grant to the site where your balance sits.
Two examples from the ranking show why both searches belong in every lookup. Vave, which appears on this site as an advertisement, holds OGL/2024/1676/0905 under Latcas B.V., and on 12 September 2026 the portal gave vavegame.com as the covered domain, without vave.com. Jack.com runs under its own certificate for jack.com, while its earlier address jackbit.com has a different certificate.
Holder names and status words
Holder. Put the holder on the entry next to the operator in the terms. They often match, but not always. At Wild.io the portal shows one company, Nonce Gaming B.V., and the player terms introduce another, Stack Gaming Ltd. When names differ, keep both; the entry does not explain group structures.
Status. Copy the status word literally, including capital letters. The screenshots on this site, taken on 31 August 2026, show «Active» for both the Bitcasino.io certificate of Moon Technologies B.V. and Bitsler's certificate held by Oyine N.V. For Rocketpot, whose terms cite 1668/JAZ in cl. 1.2, the portal showed the certificate as not valid on 12 and on 13 September 2026. Repeating a search on a second day, as happened there, makes a one-off display error less likely.
Two registers. Occasionally a casino shows up with two authorities. Metaspins names Anjouan in cl. 1.1, while the Curaçao portal holds an active entry for Metaspins N.V. Search both registers whenever the terms and the domain search point in different directions.
Expiry dates in the Anjouan licence register
The Anjouan entry prints both a start date and an end date. Wild Fortune's licence, ALSI-202509073-FI2 held by Metlait SRL, runs from 30 September 2025 to 29 September 2026, and on 12 September 2026 it named wildfortune.io.
An end date turns the lookup into something to repeat. Put the date in your calendar, search again the day after and compare the new result with the saved one. The page on Anjouan licences covers the three ranked casinos that cite Anjouan.
Keeping a dated record
A register can change at any time, so what counts later is what you can show it said on a given day. Keep the record simple and consistent:
- Take a full-page screenshot of the entry with the address bar visible.
- Name the file with the date first, then the casino and the register, for example 2026-09-12 casino cga.
- Add a screenshot of the licence clause in the terms and of the footer from the same day.
- Store everything in one folder per casino, next to deposit confirmations and emails.
